FARM VISIT:

CHRISTMAS TREES

Here at Quinn Farm we grow beautiful Christmas Trees that semi-cultivated and natural looking. When we cut trees, we always ask that people leave a branch on the remaining stump and those branches are then turned up and a new tree grown from the existing rootsThis technique means we are not “killing a tree” and it will grow more quickly as it already has roots established.

We also pasture our sheep in our Christmas trees, this keeps grass and weeds down and fertilizes the trees. In this way we further reduce the carbon footprint of the trees by eliminating driving with a tractor up and down the rows of trees multiple time a year. Additionally our trees are pesticide free. Quinn Farm is one of the few places that employs this technique and are able to offer truly Eco-Friendly Christmas Trees!

Snack barn:

Our Snack barn will be open on weekends from November 25th to December 10th, serving a light lunch from homegrown ingredients. We sell meal items such as chili, soup & sandwiches. We also have cold and hot drinks and individual baked goods.

ANIMAL BARN & PLAY YARD

Our barn is a host to several farm animals, many of which are rare breeds. Animals come and go as we work with other farms to build up the numbers of certain breeds of animals. In our barn you can usually find : pigs, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, cows and horses.

Barn rules : no food or drinks allowed, wash up as soon as you are done visiting our farm friends, no pets are allowed on the farm.

Our large play yard has activities for everyone to enjoy including slides, a tire pyramid, duck races, a mini-maze, tricycles and, of course, enough space to run around!

Every child has to be supervised by an adult at all times during their visit.
